Having been at BETT most of the week, Em (our Marketing Manager) and Vicki (our Education Manager) jumped in the car and made their way to the NEC in Birmingham, for the Inaugural Dyslexia Show… because supporting readers with dyslexia is incredibly important to us.

We met so many wonderful suppliers and potential partners – and it was great to talk with the British Dyslexia Association, and companies like DyslexiaBox, Claro Software, Nessy Learning and our good friends at Scanning Pens.

The event was opened the day before by Matt Hancock MP, and it is the UK’s first national exhibition dedicated to dyslexia, and the largest dyslexia event in Europe, and had over six thousand attendees over the two days.

What is DEAR for Dyslexia?

DEAR stands for ‘Drop Everything and Read’. It’s a reading activity that’s been popular in primary school classrooms for over a decade, and it’s where everybody takes time out of their day to focus on reading.
