What is the School Portal?
The Fonetti School Portal brings technical innovation to classroom reading.
No more searching for lost books in a reading scheme. No more limitations of which child reads what because you only have a limited number of copies. And no more trawling through hand-written reading records to try to work out what a pupil has read.
With the Fonetti School Portal you can allocate books, and see reading data for your class or an individual pupil with a click.
Reduce your workload
With Fonetti you can say goodbye to book bags and needing to quarantine books.
Instead, you can encourage safe and socially distant literacy support from a tablet-based library of listening books that meet curriculum reading levels. With one click you can keep up to date with the progress of every child in your class.
Fonetti can tell you:
- how long each pupil has spent on the app
- which stories they’ve read
- the level of accuracy
- and the number of times a title has been chosen.
What’s more, from 2021, you’ll also have access to supporting classroom resources and author and illustrator workshops full of activities that promote literacy (either via video or a socially-distant school visit).
What will it cost?
Access to the Fonetti School Portal, which includes full use of the Fonetti app in school and at home, starts from as little at £595 for a year (based on 250 pupils).

We’ve launched our 500,000 Readers campaign. Our mission is to bring engaging, literacy-boosting and interactive reading to at least 500,000 young readers in 2021… and that starts in schools.
We’re working with business large and small to secure sponsorship for schools – whether that’s just for annual Portal access, or possibly for technology too… depending on what you need.
However, you may have a local company that usually sponsors your school fayre, or performances, or sports day, or they might have previously volunteered onsite – but they can’t right now.
