Why Fonetti?

As a passionate advocate for children's literacy and self-confidence, I understand the impact that dyslexia had on my own life growing up. Now, I'm committed to changing lives through Fonetti. The joy of seeing children's confidence soar as they interact with the app is beyond incredible; it simply reaffirms my passion for helping those facing similar struggles that I once endured.

My journey has been supercharged by Dyslexia. As a mum to a son with ADHD, ASD, and Dyslexia, my purpose in life is dedicated to empowering neurodiverse children.

I cherished reading as a child—adventure stories, comics, atlases, Enid Blyton, C.S. Forster, and later Agatha Christie. Sports pages captivated me, reading by the front door before anyone else could snatch the paper. Independent reading fueled my growth and is why I'm proud to back Fonetti as their Education Ambassador. Every child deserves the joy & fulfillment that reading brings!

About Lewis

Lewis is a passionate entrepreneur and educator with extensive experience. He is the founder and Chairman of Sensations English, an interactive platform for acquiring English language skills. Lewis also co-founded Espresso Education in 1997, which was later acquired by Discovery Education. Prior to that, he served as Editor of Blue Peter and Producer of John Cravens Newsround.

Fonetti empowers teachers to create enjoyable opportunities for children to read aloud, without judgement. It assesses reading ability accurately and helps teachers to plan for crucial next steps, saving time and reducing teacher workload.

Alex, a former educator, brings a wealth of knowledge to the business. With experience as a class teacher, Key Stage 1 & 2 Lead, and English & Reading Lead, she understands not only the importance of literacy and practical resources, but also the dynamics of working in a school environment. This enables us to communicate and interact in a more relevant and meaningful way.
